The renowned speedrunning marathon is coming to Gamescom, with full live streaming available for viewers.

The beloved charity-driven speedrunning marathon, Games Done Quick, is set to make its first European appearance with a live broadcast at Germany’s Gamescom festival this summer.
Running across the three-day Gamescom event in Cologne from August 28 to 30, the marathon will showcase top-tier speedrunners alongside an in-person audience. Viewers can tune in via Twitch and YouTube, with daily streams beginning at 4am ET and concluding at 2pm.
“We are excited to extend Games Done Quick’s reach globally and bring this live experience to gamescom in Germany, a moment of great significance for our team,” shared Ashley Farkas, Business Director and Owner of Games Done Quick. “This collaboration not only bolsters a fantastic cause but also opens doors for more runners to take part, particularly those who haven’t been able to travel to the US before.”
Since its founding in 2010, Games Done Quick has successfully raised over $60 million for charitable organizations around the globe. The marathon’s latest installment occurred in January, highlighting live runs of titles such as Super Mario Sunshine, event, Hades II and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, among others.
