Adult content site Pornhub is once again accessible to more UK residents, provided they confirm their age through an Apple device. Aylo, the company behind Pornhub, confirmed that it is reinstating access for iOS users who have passed age checks, following Apple’s introduction of a device-based verification tool in iOS 26.4. In a statement, Aylo highlighted that it has consistently supported device-level age verification as a method that safeguards user privacy while preventing underage individuals from accessing adult material.
In February, Pornhub restricted full access for new UK visitors, aligning with the age verification mandates of the Online Safety Act. This legislation, enacted last year, compels adult entertainment sites to adopt “highly effective” measures to block minors from viewing age-restricted material. At the time, Aylo contended that only device-based verification could adequately protect user information.
Following the UK rollout of iOS 26.4, Apple began mandating age verification for local users. Individuals must now demonstrate they are at least 18 to access specific services or perform certain account actions. New accounts can verify age by linking a credit card or scanning an ID, while Apple will review payment methods on file for existing accounts to confirm age status.
Aylo stated that Apple’s UK device-level age verification update provides some of the most robust and difficult-to-bypass protections currently available to stop minors from accessing inappropriate content. Consequently, UK iOS users who have verified their age will now experience the standard adult interface when visiting Pornhub.
