In a move that caught almost no one off guard, DJI has revealed a teaser for its upcoming Osmo Pocket 4P gimbal, which boasts a dual-camera setup designed for both wide-angle and portrait photography. The promotional image displays an enlarged version of the recently reviewed Pocket 4, highlighting its dual-lens configuration that pairs a 1-inch sensor wide-angle lens with a 3x optical zoom lens.
“Designed for professional creators seeking to elevate their cinematic storytelling, DJI is set to release the Osmo Pocket 4P — a groundbreaking pocket-sized gimbal featuring a dual-camera system — in 2026,” the manufacturer stated. “With adaptable focal lengths for effortless transitions between various shooting environments, the Osmo Pocket 4P merges enhanced hardware capabilities with limitless creative potential to define the next generation of mobile filmmaking.”
Beyond the teaser page, no further specifics have been disclosed, yet extensive leaks provide a clear picture of what to anticipate. Alongside the dual-camera array, the device is expected to record 4K video at frame rates up to 240 fps, deliver 14 stops of dynamic range with 10-bit D-Log color grading, feature Hasselblad color calibration, and include up to 128GB of internal storage. Mirroring the Osmo Pocket 4, it will retain a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, improved ActiveTrack stabilization, and a flip-out touchscreen display. While the pricing remains uncertain, it is anticipated to exceed the Pocket 4’s cost and may face limited availability in the US market in the near term.
Regarding market access, DJI informed Digitio yesterday that it is contesting its placement on the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) restricted list, arguing insufficient due process. The company noted that the FCC is requesting public feedback on whether to approve this appeal by May 11, 2026, and urged US drone operators to submit comments via the FCC’s official portal regarding how DJI drones impact their operations.
