As tradition dictates, anyone posting on X using the #AppleEvent hashtag over the coming days will receive a custom Apple logo hashmoji attached to their message. See it below.
#AppleEvent hashmoji now live on X
For several years, each time Apple sets a new event, the firm releases a custom X hashmoji to accompany it.
Following the event invitations released earlier today—featuring an Apple-shaped halo around the sun with the phrase “Surprise and shine”—the new hashmoji has gone live on X.
Consequently, users who publish with #AppleEvent will see a custom Apple logo appear next to the hashtag, derived from the invite artwork.
Apple’s “Surprise and shine” event is slated for September 9 at 10 a.m. PT, where the company is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, as well as its inaugural foldable iPhone. Rumors also suggest new Apple Watch and AirPods releases.
The hashmoji went live just hours after Apple’s SVP of Marketing, Greg Jozwiak, teased it in an X post. Tim Cook subsequently shared Jozwiak’s message with his own remarks.
Some observers noted Cook’s reference to a countdown could be a hidden Easter egg alluding to his own impending departure: he is only days away from stepping down as Apple CEO on September 1 and transitioning to the role of executive chairman.
Digitio will be at Apple Park on September 9, so be sure to follow our coverage before, during, and after the event.
