In a playful post on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook shared a video capturing Pikachu roaming around Apple Park during a visit from the Pokémon team. Check it out below.
Pikachu visits Apple Park
Apple welcomed the Pokémon team to Apple Park for a visit and decided to inject some fun into the occasion.
In a video posted on X, Tim Cook quipped about the visit, joking that the day’s plan was to introduce the Pokémon team to incoming CEO John Ternus, “talk gaming, and politely ask Pikachu to stay out of the pond.”
“Two out of three were accomplished,” Cook added.
The accompanying video shows Pikachu wandering through Apple Park, reaching for an apple beneath an apple tree, before eventually heading toward the pond. He is then joined by Cook, Ternus, and The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara.
While neither Apple nor The Pokémon Company has provided specific details about the visit, the video is entertaining and worth a quick 30-second watch.
Apple’s meeting with The Pokémon Company’s CEO follows recent reports from Sensor Tower indicating a 4.5% year-over-year decline in mobile gaming revenue for Q2 2026.
Apple’s engagement with The Pokémon Company comes just weeks after the company acknowledged that softer mobile gaming performance has started to impact App Store growth.
