iOS 27 adds new capabilities to most Apple apps, such as Messages, Apple Music, Wallet, and others. The Find My app also receives several updates in this release. Below are all the changes.
**iOS 27: New features for Find My**
Apple highlights three changes to Find My in iOS 27:
– More flexible sharing options
– UI enhancements
– Apple Watch updates
First, the more flexible sharing options in Find My give you greater control over when and how long you share your location with others. “Share your location for a custom duration or until a set date and time,” Apple explains. You can also now “pause sharing with people individually, whenever you want.”
A notable change is the ability to conceal your location from a specific person without sending them a notification or alert. The other person won’t be notified when you pause, stop, or resume sharing your location.
Previously, you could turn off your location entirely in the Find My app, which would not trigger a notification. However, this would hide your location from everyone. With iOS 27, you can disable your location for selected individuals.
To handle this, a new “Hide Location” toggle appears on each person’s card inside the Find My app. If you pause location sharing with someone, they’ll see a “No Location Found” message in their Find My app.
**Design changes**
As for UI enhancements, Find My in iOS 27 features a refreshed Liquid Glass interface. The app missed out on Liquid Glass in iOS 26, but this year it sports a new tab bar design that aligns with Apple’s other apps.
The Find My interface now displays more precise location information on the app’s main page, so you don’t need to tap each person to see exactly which street they’re on at any moment.
There are also new icons in the Find My app for iOS 27. For example, the “Items” tab now uses a fresh AirTag‑style icon.
**Apple Watch updates**
Finally, cellular Apple Watch users will find that sharing their location automatically uses their watch when they’re away from their iPhone or iPad.
On Apple Watch, the Find My app has been redesigned into a unified interface that combines people, items, and devices.
