Siri in iOS 27 Excels at One Key Feature Other AI Assistants Miss

Siri AI receives a major upgrade in iOS 27, Apple’s assistant, and I’ve observed a distinct advantage it holds over other AI assistants.

The new iOS 27 Siri avoids pretending to be human, unlike most AI chatbots.

I’ve been testing Siri AI for almost four months, starting with the first iOS 27 beta, and it has fulfilled all the expectations I had.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Siri is considerably more capable and fulfills the original promise of a robust assistant on Apple devices.

I’ll admit, however, that if you require the most powerful, cutting‑edge AI tool, services like ChatGPT, Claude, or Google Gemini may be more suitable.

Nevertheless, after using Siri AI and comparing it with those third‑party tools, I’ve identified a key distinction that makes me strongly prefer Siri.

Unlike other AI chatbots, Siri does not pretend to be human.

It isn’t overly verbose or adopting a human‑like personality that could lead you to form a personal relationship.

Siri is helpful and intelligent, fulfilling your requests, but its responses clearly indicate it’s a tool, not a person. It consistently reminds you that it’s an AI and can make errors, and it won’t pretend to date you.

In contrast, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are full of personality, opinions, and exhibit more human‑like tendencies, which I find disingenuous.

I imagine some users enjoy that more personal approach, but I much prefer AI assistants to stay in their lane and not pretend to be something they’re not.

AI is transforming the world, yet AI chatbots remain tools, not people. I appreciate that Apple understands this and designed the new Siri accordingly.
