iOS 27 is now available to everyone, with noticeably quicker iPhone performance among its headline improvements. Apple says the update delivers speed gains across more than 30 areas.

iOS 27 works with iPhone models going back to the iPhone 11. Apple also says some of its performance measurements came from tests involving the iPhone 11 lineup.
For instance, Apple reports that apps launch up to 30% faster with iOS 27. That figure came from testing an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 26.4.2 against another running iOS 27.
The results are impressive, particularly for people using “older” iPhones. Apple has addressed enough bugs and delivered a large enough performance jump that I believe most iPhone users will notice a meaningful improvement after installing iOS 27 later this year. The gains are especially notable because Apple achieved them while also building an entirely new version of Siri.
